Hello Tara Rae — I said I wasn’t returning until after the beginning of the new year — and yet, here I am. I got images of an unfolding rose in my ketamine experience which felt very mysterious — it was like a portal leading me from the everyday into the mystical or religious realm. I also smelled roses during a NDE when I came close to being killed when I was 11 years old. Roses hold a lot of symbolic and religious association for me. I connect with Archangel Michael. But I know I’m way over my head…
I look forward to exploring more when I have time to delve into this at a deeper level. There hasn’t been any psychotherapist that can help me with any understanding of what I’ve experienced on a symbolic level.
I will check out these:
The Return of the Divine Sophia: Healing the Earth through the Lost Wisdom by Tricia McCannon
Mary Magdalene Mysteries by Azra & Seren Bertrand
The Alphabet & the Goddess by Leonard Schlain
Sacred Pleasure by Riane Eisler.
More ideas… more possible places of exploration.
Thank for posting this article today. I’ll be back later.
I didn’t expect a response. And I am interested in your thoughts. I was just trying to connect this with what you’ve written about mothers and daughters…. I’m still processing my own personal issues.
Anna, I apologize for the delay; it's been a full season in my caseload and a musical project I've been working on. Here's a link to my first published single:
How beautiful that you are seeing an unfolding rose in your ketamine experiences! I don't think you are way over your head. It sounds like you have a lot of feminine wisdom written on your heart.
It’s a good sign you’re busy! Sounds like you’re busy engaging in activities that bring you satisfaction and fulfillment. I know you’re still here — around when it makes sense to you. We do what we can do.
Thanks for sharing your music, Tara Rae. It’s quite evocative. I love this kind of music. It feels organic, spontaneous and raw — free of pretense and filtering. This is music that feels vulnerable. While I’m not a music expert — I appreciate live performances when it’s the singer and the audience unmediated by production. It’s inspiring to discover all the creative ways that others are able to express themselves. It provides me with positive role modeling. One day .. One day … I’ll be brave enough to express myself as openly, bravely and as creatively as you. We’ll see.
Enjoying your life and freedom is what’s important, right?
It's definitely been an interesting time. Lots moving. Hoping to get a little more organized with my Substack come January. Have consistent days when I post, etc.
Thank you for the reflections on my music being organic, spontaneous, and raw. Yes, that is my intention: to just sing from my heart and soul as an invitation to others to do so in their own way.
When you express yourself creatively, I would love to witness it.

Today, the technology is strange when replying to your message! So, I have had to separate my note into two replies. Not sure what that is about.
