This lands with me: "How am I supposed to feel bone-deep grief in a flattened, thin, mechanical reality?" The deep rivers of grief run dry in an alienated world. Appreciating your call for connection not objectification in these times. I'm with you!

I did vote for Trump, but not because I thought he was a mature or healthy person. Nor because I was excited to have him as president.

I voted for Trump because of specific policies that the Republican Party said they would address. In our current political system, we are often categorized as either right or left. Where does that leave a person like me who thinks very nuancedly about the world and politics? I'm not sure. It's been a little maddening at times, for sure.

The issues that I voted for the Republican party for were:

The mass miseducation and harm being done to children throughout the education system with transgender ideology, which was leading to the mass medicalization and harm of children's bodies. And the way transgender ideology was erasing "womanhood."

And, because the Republican party said they would address our food and soil crisis. After following the work of Joel Salatin, specifically, and trusting his work in permaculture around the world, I made the best-informed decision I could, knowing that he and RFK might get a seat in government to transform some of Big Pharma and Big Ag.

If I could go back, I probably would have voted third party. However, I felt strangled by the polarization inherent in our political system and felt I needed to decide within the narrow confines of either Trump or Kamala. I did the best I could with the information I had at the time.
